HELP KEEP CHALLENGER PTA STRONG! The Nominating Committee is looking for parent volunteers to serve on the 2010-2011 Challenger PTA Executive Board. If you are interested in serving as Co-President, Co-Vice President, Co-Secretary, or Co-Treasurer, please contact Rituja Indapure, Ingrid Cox, or Tanja Fontana directly or via the PTA phone line or email address. Ideal candidates would be willing to serve two consecutive school years in the position desired, but this is not required.

The DR. SEUSS SLEEPING BAG SPECTACULAR happens Friday, February 26 from 6:30-8:30pm. Come celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday and listen to Challenger teachers & staff read popular stories. Do you know a family with a child ready to start Kindergarten in the fall? Please be sure to let them know about KINDERGARTEN ROUND-UP, Wednesday, March 3 from 1-3:30pm and Thursday, March 4 from 3:30-6pm. Volunteers are also needed to help with setting up materials, greeting families, or assisting parents with filling out the registration forms. Please contact Kari Ovena at kari@ovena.net.

SCIENCE FAIR is coming April 30 at 6pm. Check out our new Science Fair website, http://challengersciencefair.oursciencefair, as this is where you’ll find the rules & guidelines for the event, and information you need to register for the event, order supplies, and volunteer to help. The website also offers helpful links for science fair project ideas. For further information, contact Angie Dutcher, our Science Fair chairperson.
