Why does the PTA conduct fundraising activities?
Our PTA is an independent non-profit organization with a mission to enhance and support the educational programs and environment at Challenger. To provide the support to our school and children we need to raise money. In order to raise the funds to continue these programs the PTA conducts a variety of fundraisers.

Where does my money go?
Challenger PTA funds over $40,000 in programs, equipment, classroom supplies, and services each year that benefit our students.

AUCTION INFORMATION
The Come Out and Play Auction is coming up Saturday March 22nd from 6-10:30pm at the Pickering Barn. Click here for the latest Auction News.

Volunteers are still needed to help with baking for the dessert auction; decorating Pickering Barn on the day of the event; and working during the event. The PTA will accept help from middle and high school students needing community service hours. Please contact Kari Ovena at 425-427-1116 or Bev Sakamoto at 425-369-9679 if you are willing to volunteer.

Passive fundraisers are usually through shopping, clipping labels, or supporting local businesses. Below is a list of passive fundraising opportunities for Challenger PTA.

PACE stands for Parents and Community for Education Register your VISA or MasterCard at www.4PACE.com and $10 of your $25 membership fee goes directly to Challenger PTA. You save 20% at hundreds of local restaurants and retailers when you pay your bill with your registered credit card. No coupons or discount cards required. Challenger PTA earns 5% of every purchase. Corporate Matching Gift Program: Does your employer participate in a matching gift program? If so, Please help the PTA benefit from your matching program, simply ask your human resource department for information, fill out the proper authorization forms and return to Challenger PTA. General Mills "Box Tops": General Mills products have a label on the "tops" of their cereal. Look for them on General Mills Cereals, Gogurts, Betty Crocker, Yoplait, and cookies. We get money for each label we submit. See boxtops4education for more details.

Collect Campbell's Soup Labels: Clip and save UPCs and caps from participating Labels for Education brands. Look for the Campbell's logo on other products as well, i.e. Prego, Franco American, Swanson Broth, Pepperidge Farm, and V-8. These can be redeemed for classroom maps, books, and learning materials.
